Who are we?
The Striking Vikings, located in Downey California, were created with the support of the Downey Community and Downey High School in September of 2015. Within 3 months the Striking Vikings grew into a team of 33 students and gained a second lead mentor from SpaceX after originally starting with only 15 students and 1 mentor. Now in their 8th year the team consist of 40 members of students from all grade levels. The team is roughly % female and over 50% of our team are seniors which will ensure that Team 5851 will continue in to prosper in the future.
